International Women's Day on March 8 is the perfect occasion to pause and reflect on equal opportunities and gender equality in the workplace and society. We are convinced that both factors are key to greater creativity and innovative strength and have taken first steps in the right direction – something we are proud of!
To prevent bullying, abuse of power and discrimination, we have set up a confidential reporting and complaints office staffed by specially trained employees. This links our corporate values of respect and diversity with a structured reporting system that is also anchored in our cast and crew contracts and regularly communicated on our film sets. This creates a first point of contact that stands for confidentiality, discretion and fairness and enables grievances to be reported without fear of reprisals.
With our “Talent Community” project, we bring mentors and mentees together to support our female talents in their professional and personal development. True to the motto: “When women support each other, great things can happen.”
We are proud to have joined the business network Women in Film & Television (WIFT) Germany as a supporting member and offer our female employees access to this valuable network and inspiring exchange.
With anti-bias workshops, we aim to raise awareness of the importance of recognizing one's own biases and continuously questioning oneself. We also bring in sensitivity readers to get a holistic picture of our content.
This year, we are particularly pleased to be able to mark International Women's Day for our female employees with the lecture “Let's Talk About Money”, which looks at the topic of finance specifically from a female perspective.
All these initiatives are part of our commitment to greater diversity and an environment in which women can develop their full potential. Because every journey begins with a single step – and we are just getting started.
