Four BAFTAs for Edward Berger's CONCLAVE

With a total of four awards at the most important British film prize, the BAFTA Film Awards, CONCLAVE was one of the big winners this year. The team celebrated not only trophies in the categories Best Film and Outstanding British Film, but Peter Straughan was also honored in the category Adapted Screenplay. Nick Emerson received a BAFTA in the category Editing.

With CONCLAVE, Edward Berger has directed a visually powerful and atmospherically dense thriller that deals with one of the oldest and most mysterious rituals: the election of a new Pope. The film had its German cinema release on 21 November 2024 and has since been performing extremely successfully in cinemas with over 840,000 admissions to date.
