Anchored by brilliant performances from Christian Friedel and Sandra Hüller, the filmmakers created a masterpiece that had already attracted great attention at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
And the accolades didn't stop there - THE ZONE OF INTEREST also emerged as the top-performing arthouse film at the German box office in 2024. While the overall market saw a substantial 7.3% decline, arthouse cinema bucked the trend with a 3.1% increase in admissions.
